1. Overview & Data Controller
Khata1 Technologies ("Khata1", "we", "our", or "us") operates the Khata1 mobile application and related web management services. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, process, store, and protect information when you utilize our digital bahi-khata, billing, and bookkeeping platform.
2. Categories of Information We Collect
- Account Identification: Mobile phone number used for unique merchant account identification and secure SMS OTP verification.
- Business Profile Details: Business name, store category, owner name, shop address, and optional GSTIN/PAN details provided voluntarily by you.
- Ledger & Transaction Records: Names, mobile numbers, and monetary entries (credit/debit amounts, dates, notes, and payment mode) that you enter to track business transactions.
- Bill & Receipt Attachments: Images of receipts, vouchers, or payment screenshots you voluntarily attach to transaction records.
- Device Diagnostics: Device model, OS version, IP address, and crash reports required for app stability and fraud prevention.
3. Device Permissions & Handling

4. Zero Data Selling Guarantee
We do not sell, rent, or trade your business data.
Khata1 will never monetize your customer phone numbers, customer lists, or transaction histories to third-party advertisers, credit card telemarketers, or loan brokers. Your records belong exclusively to your business.
5. Certified Non-Lending Notice
Khata1 is solely a bookkeeping software utility. Khata1 is not an NBFC, bank, lending platform, or credit intermediary. We do not issue loans, intermediate credit agreements, or charge interest.
6. Data Retention & Account Deletion
In compliance with Google Play Data Safety standards, you have the right to permanently purge your account and all associated customer ledger records at any time.
Permanent Account Wipe:
To initiate full account erasure, visit our dedicated Data Deletion Portal or send an email to support@khata1.com with the subject 'Account Deletion Request'. All ledger records are permanently wiped within 7 business days.
